Social Media Management
Following a recommendation, I was hired by Michael Dodson, Managing Director of Wildgoose Education Ltd as their temporary social media manager. to help bring their social media channels back to life. Due to internal staff changes, the management of their social media accounts fell to the bottom of the priority list and as a result, the social media channels became inactive for nearly two years.
Having met with Michael and his team in person, I took the time to get to know their established business, it’s history and their key objectives, one of which was to increase online sales through their brand new website. Armed with all of these facts, I set to work laying the groundwork which included analysing all of their online activity including their newly launched website and it’s online customer journey. The analysis was followed by recommendations and whilst they worked through the list of recommendations, I continued with indepth research into their competitor activity, audience profile, hashtags, keywords, what had worked and not worked previously etc. Once the groundwork had been complete, I optimised all of the social media accounts based on previously researched keywords and I also created a twelve month social media content plan that was fully bespoke to their business needs and objectives.
I took over the full management of their existing social media accounts of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram bringing them successfully back to life as well as setting up their LinkedIn business account to maximise their online presence. For the next three months. I worked closely with the team who following my recommendation supplied me on a regular basis with a variety of images, blog posts and weekly/monthly promotional campaigns so that sales could easily be tracked and be effectively measured. This content was combined with other engaging and valuable curated content such as GIF’s, videos and graphics and as such, this inbound marketing strategy sure enough saw a healthy increase in followers and engagement across all social media channels and most importantly an increase in online sales!
At the end of each month, I compiled bespoke social media reports based on the insights gathered from that month alongside recommendations for the following month to ensure that we remained responsive and proactive whilst keeping ahead of the audience needs. At the end of the three month period, my time was up and I met with Kim, a member of the team for a training session with the aim of upskilling her with the social media skills so that she could confidently take over the reins and continue to help build the profile of business and open doors to new customers.
“Thanks so much Katie, it was a pleasure working with you. You listened to what we wanted, researched our business area, formulated and implemented a comprehensive marketing plan, followed up on the plan and kept us up to date along the way. We feel confident following your training to "go it alone" and continue your great work.”
